What the directory provides
The directory helps you find chimney sweeps and related businesses, compare published information and contact businesses directly. We do not carry out chimney work or arrange bookings through this website. Any service agreement, quotation, payment or complaint about work is between you and the business concerned.
Check details before booking
Business information can change. Confirm the service offered, coverage, availability, price, insurance and any relevant qualifications or membership directly with the business before booking. A listing, photograph or link does not by itself confirm accreditation, competence or an endorsement by the directory. Missing details mean the information is not published here, rather than that a business does or does not offer a service.
Maps and distances are guides only. Distances shown may be straight-line estimates rather than travel distances. General information on the site does not replace advice from a suitably qualified professional about your chimney, stove or property.
Sponsored placements
Paid placements, when shown, are labelled “Sponsored”. Payment can affect a listing's placement; it does not certify the business or guarantee the quality of its work. Any purchase of a paid placement is subject to the separate terms shown for that purchase.
Corrections and submissions
Please report outdated or inaccurate information using the contact page, including the listing URL and the proposed correction. We review requests and may update, remove or decline a listing. Publication is not guaranteed, and the directory is not a complete list of every business.
If you send text, images or business information for publication, you must have the right to provide it and it must not be misleading, unlawful or infringe another person's rights. You give us permission to use and edit that material as needed to publish and maintain the relevant directory entry. Do not include private or sensitive information that should not appear in a public listing.
Using the website fairly
You may browse the site and share links to its pages. Do not interfere with its operation, try to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, send spam or make automated requests that disrupt the service. Respect copyright, database rights and any separate licences that apply to images, maps or other content. Contact us before republishing substantial parts of the directory.
External services and availability
Links to business websites, maps and other services are provided for convenience. Those services are controlled by their own operators and have their own terms. We aim to keep the directory available, but maintenance, technical problems or changes to external services may interrupt access or features.
Responsibility and your legal rights
We take reasonable care when publishing information, but cannot guarantee that every listing is complete or current. We are responsible for the directory service we provide; listed businesses are responsible for their own statements, services and work. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the directory changes. The version and date published on this page apply to future use of the website; changes do not retrospectively alter an existing agreement with us.
