CGB Chimney Services

CGB Chimney Services provides chimney sweeping and related maintenance across Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. Chris has been sweeping chimneys since 2012 and describes his service as professional and friendly. He is a member of the Institute of Chimney Sweeps.

The service includes chimney sweeping, bird-guard cowls, chimney stack maintenance, pointing and flaunching, and liner installation. Before sweeping, the chimney and fireplace are visually inspected. The fireplace is sealed where needed, then the chimney is power-swept and vacuumed, with soot and debris removed from the premises.

Where needed, a CCTV camera is used to check the chimney for cleanliness and obstructions. A smoke test is carried out, and a certificate is provided for insurance purposes. Chris can also advise on work that may be needed and shares information about carbon monoxide and using wood in a burner or fireplace.

The business’s published prices describe a standard sweep as including a smoke test and insurance certificate. Other listed work includes supplying and fitting cowls, bird-nest removal and flue lining, with quotes available for some jobs.
