Brian the Sweep

Brian the Sweep provides chimney and appliance care across North Norfolk, serving customers from open-fire households to owners of wood-burning and multi-fuel stoves. The work also covers AGAs, with sweeping carried out manually or by power, depending on what suits the chimney.

Alongside sweeping, Brian strips down and cleans stoves where it is safe to do so, offers routine servicing and carries out minor repairs such as replacing ropes or glass and patching fire cement. Camera inspections are available, and bird-nest removal is offered during the permitted season. Customers receive a certificate detailing the work and any issues found, suitable for insurance, letting and conveyancing purposes.

Careful preparation is a priority: protective sheets, waterproof covers and runners are used to help keep homes clean, and time is set aside after each job to discuss findings and practical ways to improve safety or appliance efficiency. Brian is fully insured and a qualified member of the Guild of Master Sweeps.

Holiday-home owners can arrange work when they are away, provided access can be arranged, with photos shared to show the work in progress. Dogs are warmly welcomed too, making this a friendly, practical service for local households looking for attentive chimney and stove care.
