Black Cat Chimneys

Black Cat Chimneys provides domestic and commercial chimney sweeping across Calderdale, with its West Yorkshire contact point serving the Hebden Bridge area. Its work includes cleaning soot and creosote from chimneys and flues, alongside visual checks of chimney stacks, pots and terminals for defects or obstructions.

Customers can expect the fireplace area to be protected with sheeting before work begins. The sweep checks the appliance and flue, tests the up-draught, and carries out a smoke evacuation check after cleaning. The business describes using traditional brushes and rods or rotary power-sweeping equipment, with a filtered industrial vacuum to remove deposits.

Alongside sweeping, Black Cat Chimneys lists stove repairs and replacement parts, stove respraying, and the supply and fitting of birdguards, caps and cowls. Its NACS profile also lists flue lining work and smoke tests. A sweeping certificate is issued after the service, according to the business's website.

The service is aimed at householders and commercial customers who need chimney or flue maintenance. If you are unsure what your appliance needs, the business says its sweep can advise on sweeping frequency during an appointment.
