Black Cat

Black Cat is Gary Smallman’s Guild-certified chimney-sweeping service, based in West Cornforth and covering County Durham and the wider North East of England.

Its listed services include power sweeping and chimney testing, as well as removing bird nests and supplying and fitting birdguards. Practical advice is also available, and the profile lists commercial chimney sweeping among its services.

The Guild profile describes more than 30 years’ experience in building maintenance and identifies Gary as a member of the Guild of Master Sweeps. This offers a useful indication of the background behind the service, while the Guild certification is a notable part of its professional identity.

Whether you need a chimney swept, tested or advice on a chimney issue, Black Cat’s published service range covers both practical work and guidance. The profile also says the service covers the North East beyond its County Durham base.
