AM Sweeps Stoves & Fireplaces Ltd

AM Sweeps Stoves & Fireplaces Ltd, trading as Check My Chimney, serves residential and commercial customers across Bedfordshire, London and the Home Counties. Its work covers chimney sweeping, inspections and surveys, as well as smoke testing for solid-fuel and gas fireplaces.

Sweeping visits include sealing the work area, removing soot and debris from the premises, and carrying out a smoke test. The business says it can issue a certificate following cleaning or survey work, and offers different levels of service, from sweeping to full structural inspections. Pressure testing is also available, with a report and advice on the findings.

For chimney tops, the company supplies and fits chimney pots, cowls and caps. Its website describes anti-bird and anti-downdraught options, as well as rotary cowls, and says advice on suitable fittings can often be provided by phone or email.

The business also offers stove and fireplace-related services, including measurements for installations and accessories, and installation of external twin-wall chimney flues. Its website says its engineers are HETAS trained and qualified, and that it aims to carry out sweeping with little or no mess. The range is intended for householders and commercial property owners seeking chimney maintenance, testing or help with stove and flue installations.
