Allan Chimney Sweeps

Allan Chimney Sweeps provides chimney sweeping across Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, Ayrshire and nearby parts of West Central Scotland. The business describes its service as clean and mess-free, and identifies itself as a National Association of Chimney Sweeps Master Chimney Sweep and a HETAS-approved technician.

The team sweeps open fires, traditional fireplaces, log burners and multi-fuel stoves. Alongside traditional brush-and-rod methods, it offers power sweeping for lined and unlined stove chimneys. The published service includes an initial inspection of the chimney and appliance, protective floor coverings, and a check of the flue using a torch and mirror. A smoke test is also used to check that smoke exits through the expected pot.

After sweeping, customers are provided with a certificate. The business says it can identify and report issues with an appliance or chimney, and also advertises stove cleaning, servicing and repairs. Its FAQs describe help with bird nests, blockages, debris and trapped birds, as well as the supply and fitting of chimney cowls to help address nesting, down draught and weather exposure.

Whether you use a wood-burning stove, a multi-fuel appliance or an open fire, the published service is designed to include both cleaning and basic checks of the chimney and appliance. The stated coverage includes Glasgow and surrounding communities; contact the business to confirm whether a particular nearby area is served.
