Able Vac & Brush Chimney Sweep

Able Vac & Brush Chimney Sweep is a family-run chimney and flue specialist based in West Kirby, serving homes and businesses across Wirral, Liverpool, Chester and surrounding areas. The business was established in 1981 and draws on a family history in the chimney-sweeping trade dating back to the 1950s.

Its work covers routine sweeping for open fires, log burners and multi-fuel stoves, as well as specialist flue cleaning for domestic and commercial biomass boilers. The team also undertakes smoke testing, stove installation and flue work, supplies and fits chimney pots, cowls and bird guards, and works with flue liners and disused flues.

For customers needing more than a routine sweep, the business offers stove and appliance flue services, including gas and oil appliances. It is registered with NACS, HETAS and Gas Safe, and states that it is fully insured. Its published service information describes recognised certificates and clear findings after visits.

Careful work practices are a notable feature: the fireplace is sealed during sweeping and industrial vacuum equipment is used to contain soot and debris. The team includes male and female sweeps, and customers may request a female sweep. Domestic customers and commercial operators with biomass systems are both within its stated audience.
